HUGE disappointment!! We have vacationed at Kiawah for 20+ years and today we are extremely disappointed! We checked in to our "Premier" level villa that we specifically picked because of its location just across the street from the West Beach Pool Complex, only to learn that the pool is completely closed down. We do not do the beach, so basically the pool was our only option. This 100% should be noted in the villa description on the Kiawah website! Nothing was offered to try to compensate for this other than another unit that was equally as far from the only pool that is open. Terrible rental representation and terrible customer service. As much as we have always loved Kiawah, not sure if we will return after this. Who wants to walk a mile to the pool much less when your villa description specifically stated "within close proximity to the West Beach Pool Complex"!! **Additional comment after being here less than 2 hours: sheets on bed do not even cover the entire mattress. Clearly Kiawah has gone downhill. Seems that maybe they no longer care about Villa rentals and the only way to guarantee a great experience is to stay at The Sanctuary. Read other reviews and you will see more of the same - bad villa experiences - dirty, run down, etc. Just beware!
