Yes you can have it stopped. I had the same thing happen to me. Just go to the SNAP office and tell them you want to apply for Medicaid to pay for your Medicare Part A/B asap. Unfortunately, you need to go to the office in person. When you go fill out the application again and when you turn your paperwork in at the window tell the extremely rude woman of color that you need to speak to a caseworker before you leave. Explain to the caseworker your wait and she could possible get your benefits within 24 hours in some cases. Its worth getting a ride and the wait. Hope this helps.
