I had always thought this was one of the top notch hospitals for patients! BOY WAS I WRONG! 2 days into our week long stay and I see that is not true. Pain management is a joke. After an 8 hour neck surgery my elderly father was given tylenol.... and when asked to rate his pain i have watched every. Single. Nurse. He's. Had. Roll. Their. Eyes! If I had 7 vertebrae worked on I'd be at a 10 on the pain scale myself. I have to beg to get his pain medicine... and it still won't show up until an hour or more later. This makes "staying ahead of the pain" virtually impossible. The nurses act like children. They will laugh at you, roll eyes, get loud and one even made my mother cry for trying to get my father some help after I left. Ive seen them in the nurses station scrolling on Google and Facebook a lot.... I've honestly gotten more help from the ladies in housekeeping than anything. The room gets up to 87 degrees during the day ... the bed is old and every time I get him adjusted to sleep confortably the nurse comes in and moves it.... every time... like this is some petty game she's playing? I asked her not to do that and she LAUGHED.... I think they forget that we pay their salary and not the other way around.... So far all of our nurses have made this experience horrible.... Its almost like no one cares or either no one is experienced enough to care.... if I'm able to request a transfer tomorrow I'm going to. IF YOU SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY HAVE AN ADVOCATE! They expect you to make important health decisions as early as 30 minutes post op.... I'm not a *Karen* by any means.... this is just the worse hospital experience we have ever had....

Poor excuse for a ER. Doctor and Nurses making fun of patients. The RN and Tech at the ER triage counter on June 24, 2020 (AM Shift) should be fired. They are poor excuses for employees and healthcare providers Nurses telling a mental patient to stop faking their panic attack. Nurses and staff berating patients. I walked out with a possible broken hip after the nurse said I was lost in the system because they had my room in the computer different that what I was actually in. Two hours no meds after the Dr said that she ordered them hours ago. I have video proof if the hospital would like to reach out to see it. You'd be very upset if your family was treated in such vile manners as I have recorded. I've also reached out to hospital administration and will start posting the videos on Facebook if I am not contacted and this rectified. I will make sure everyone knows how your employees treat patients. This isn't a game. This will be exposed.

I went to Baptist to help my allergic reaction. After sitting in a chair for a while I told them I needed meds. Wheezing and bleeding all over the place I needed treatment and it never came at Prisma Baptist Hospital. Additionally, the doctor's note saying I received treatment was also wrong. I received a $500 bill for signing into the ER while receiving zero treatment and had to self-treat in my car. The doctor's note was wrong about my treatment received which I believe is fraud. This is not healthcare, it's sponging off vulnerable people who are looking for help. I never received help, but I have the bill for it. If I ever have a severe reaction again, I know not to go to Baptist ER - I'm better off self-treating and hoping for the best. My recommendation to anyone else is to go to an outside network. MUSC or Lexington locally.
