So apparently I received a letter saying I owe over 10k for 2 tax years that I didn’t even live or work in NC!!! Apparently, they can randomly assume you didn’t file for previous years if you decide to move back to the state from another. I have my returns from the state I filed in for those years, and apparently I have to prove and send documents because of their errors?? They just make a random assumption without even looking into where I had filed my taxes and where I was living? It makes absolutely no sense. They want money they aren’t even entitled to because I wasn’t living or working here???? The IRS and DSS is a complete mess and joke in NC. They don’t call the south backwards for nothing I guess.

People are hurting from covid shut downs. And didn’t get thousands of dollars of stimulus money. But the last two years you have taken what money we needed to try and save our house from foreclosure. April 12 2022. You end any hopes of someone trying save there home. Tried to set up payment options but you refuse that option because we quit making payments in 2020. Well the State got $900 Billion dollars. NC residents get that. I promise you one thing. I’ll claim $0.00 for my business every year after. Because I’ll never ever pay another dime In Federal or State taxes again. I’ll go to the border and come back across as a illegal citizen. So I can live TAX free LIKE THEY DO.

Completely incompetent leadership and administration. No one ever answers the phone and when they do the hold times are ridiculously long. Communication with taxpayers is almost non-existent and is completely incorrect at times. The state of leadership in our legislature and the department of revenue is abysmal.

Hello I'm trying to find out if I pay child support for 2 kids that live in North Carolina and I live in Florida can I claim half.. For the dependent
You might need to contact h&r block. So that you can make a amended return. If not you will need to keep a copy of the 2018 return. So that you can use it to explain the credit on your 2019 return. It would be easier for you to just produce a amended return with the appropriate tax on it.
Find out if you were covered under the Baily Act.
Call to The Department Of Revenue and ask to be transferred to individual departments and they will help you with you concerns
You have to contact IRS and request a copy or a transcript,
Please wait at least 2 weeks. This is tax season and the department handles hundreds and thousands of checks in a week
For 1099 information you have to call the IRS
Only if they were issued by the Dept
You need to call the local Revenue Department that deals with property taxes and not state income taxes
Go in person
The bank won't cash it? I would just cash it with a teller that knows me. Otherwise you can mail it back in and ask for them to cancel and resend it. This could take weeks.
Yes.!!! If you owe another state agency or the IRS.
You need to call Secretary of State
If your not Bailey invested which includes federal, military, post office and NC state employees then your pension will be taxed
Dept. Of Revenue Po box 25000 Raleigh nc 27601
Privilege licenses are $50 send it NCDOR 501 N Wilmington St Raleigh
No
That's a question for a lawyer
Can you br more specific?
They also tax NC pension plan unless your Bailey Invested
Pay online or mail to PO Box 25000 Raleigh 27602
A 1099 C is taxable income and is reported on your federal return. Your Federal Adjusted Gross Income from the federal is the starting point of your state return
Only the taxable amount
Contact our criminal investigations division.
If you cannot get them from your employer. Try ESC or IRS and get a Wage and Income transcript. You can order them on li e and it is simple. State Revenue does not keep w2 information.
You need to call the offce. This can not be shared on social media !!!
You cqn come in to the Atlantic Avenue office. Website does not give options to file on line.
Yes, this means that for NC purposes, you had 5 years of service as of 8/12/1989, a vested employee. The Bailey case was brought against the department and the outcome is that these 1099-R statements, while taxable income on the federal return, the amount is deducted from NC
Social security is not taxable, and only Bailey retirees and federal retirees with the same type of income are not taxed. However, should you have a filing requirement based on the amount, you still have to file.
If you owe, you may remit payment to NCDOR PO BOX 25000 RALEIGH NC 27640. If I were you, I would make sure to put the D-400 Voucher with your payment, and put the year, and ssn in your subject line of your personal check, cashier's check, or money order. If you are paying a notice, enter the notice number on the memo line
You are actually encouraged to pay on the NCDOR website. However, there is a $2.00 convenience fee for every $100 paid online and for every part thereof. For example if you owed $250, your convenience fee would be $6.00
Up to 8 weeks for efile
You should contact Wake Tech directly for a copy of your W-2. If you are asking about your 1099-R, retirement statement, you should contact the State Retirement System
Is this Wake County property taxes?
Depends on the type of return filed. If expecting a refund,NCDOR PO Box R Raleigh NC 27634. If you owe tax or have a 0 balance return, NCDOR PO Box 25000 Raleigh NC 27640
It depends on if you are eligible to set up a payment arrangement, and how much you owe, if you have several years of unfiled returns, they will ask you to get into compliance with filing before you can even be set up on a payment plan. The only way to get the garnishment stopped is to either pay in full, or set up the payment plan with permission for auto draft payments from a valid bank account. I would visit the website and get the phone number for the Collections Division..
