I have been unable to get a call through to HT corporate. Very unprofessional. The HT app is inoperable for stores near me. My online shopping subscription has essentially been of little use to me since April AND I have been repeatedly charged a “pick-up fee” to add salt to the wound.

A week ago, I was called by someone at the California, MD, Harris Teeter store about a personal shopper job I applied for via their website. I was given an appointment of 10:15am on 5-31-22. At the appointment I was asked how I applied and what job I applied for. It was as if I didn’t have an appointment and they didn’t see my application, despite the fact that the person making the appointment referenced my application. I was told that they did not have any openings for Personal Shopper, the job I was asked to be interviewed for and for which I applied. So I made a 2 hour+ trip there for nothing today. This is no way to treat an applicant and is totally inconsistent with the excellent customer service this organization claims to expect from employees. If they decided to fill the job before interviewing me, they should have contacted me to cancel. Apparently excellent service does not apply to applicants. So I don’t recommend this employer. It is the second unprofessional experience I’ve had with Harris Teeter management staff. I see it’s not just at the Alexandria, VA, location. Seems to be company-wide among managers.

They aren't letting you view the sales flyer online anymore because they want to track you and make a profit of off your shopping habits. This is just one of all the tiny little steps that have been taken after the Kroger management took over to add up to a completely different company (one that takes advantage of the excuse of the quarter to produce more of the almighty shareholder value this quarter) - they're thinking you won't notice.
