Heartworm is a parasite that is transmitted via mosquito bite. It can cause lung damage and liver failure if undetected. A regimen of heartworm pills is important to prevent the parasitic larvae from hatching and traveling through your dog’s system. With any medication, there is a chance that your dog will spit it out at some point. A quick, simple test at our office will ensure that heartworm is detected early in your dog’s system and can be treated before it causes any serious illnesses.
As a general rule, we recommend spaying or neutering your puppy from seven to twelve months of age. Kittens can be spayed or neutered from four to six months. These are general guidelines and we will be happy to discuss your unique pet with you.
Payment in full is expected at the time of service unless you have made previous arrangements with our office. Please see Patient Information for payment details.
Vaccines and regimens are based on your individual cat or dog’s needs and risk factors. We will recommend a schedule with the necessary immunizations at your appointment.
I would want a second opinion ! Make an appointment. Try Advanced Animal Care of Mtpleasant .
