Friendly service. Always give great service on fixing up your car and advice on how to keep your car running smoothly so you don't need to keep going back for more work. The recommendations aren't always the cheapest up front but pay off over the long haul, i.e. I haven't had to take anything in over and over to fix the same issue. As an example, brought the car in for a winter tire swap and went with a brake pad change they noticed was needed while changing the tires. They don't do body work but give recommendations. Turn around time on tires is a bit longer than it was in 2018/2019 as they no longer keep stock on hand since it was looted during the George Floyd protests. Still generally next day after dropping your car off.

Wow! I had such an incredible experience at Car-x. I’m a young woman, and I’m always concerned that I’ll be ripped off when I take my car in for repair, due to my general lack of deep knowledge about cars. My car started loudly rattling last week, and I was concerned that the suspension system needed work. I emailed John, and he fit me in today, even though they were pretty booked up. I dropped the car off at 8 am, and I got a call at 9:10 am (a little over an hour later!) saying that my car was ready to pick up. I went to pick it up, and John and his colleague let me know that they tightened a loose plate that was rattling around, and that they “wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if they charged me for it”. I was floored by their efficiency, generosity, and professionalism. I work at a advocacy nonprofit, and every dollar counts. I’m truly so grateful to John and Car-x, and I will be coming back soon for future repair and maintenance. Highly recommend this shop!

I have been going to this location since I moved to Minneapolis. The staff is always friendly, honest, and timely. I moved out of Minneapolis, but still choose to go to this location for my car needs. Highly recommend them.

It's a painless way to take care of any vehicle. Drop it off, get your maintenance take. Care of, pay, and pick up. No pushback from the staff about getting things you do not need as many other places, quite clean, straight forward and extremely reliable. Plus it's only about a mile from my office.
