July 2021: Our tank was in very bad shape, not properly maintained by another local service / green bubble algae everywhere, etc. UnderTheSea Owner & an employee show up, decide to break down tank; start afresh. Take away old rocks, put new rocks, cleanup all bubble algae, etc. Tank begins to settle and I start adding fishes and corals / bought from this store and from reputed online sites. * They keep pushing to purchase the APEX and Trident automated water testing and dosing systems. It is so much easier to manage, blah blah, for whom? I am sold a new APEX system, new Trident system for hundreds of $$s. Guess what, tons of issues with the Trident water chemistry management system and the Trident auto-dosing system. Calibration never done, Measurements are off, dosing is what the store owner thinks best. No communication, No collaboration with the tank owner. Water chemistry numbers don't match with whats done using test kits. * Bought Corals from this store had PESTS in them. Showed it to employee who does maintenance. So, the person at store who is supposed to clean them, was not doing a proper job and was let go. PESTS in my tank now? * Expensive Corals and red, green anemones from this business and bought from other reputed online sites; * ALL DEAD - one acan alive. Why did so many corals die in the past year? * LOL / Store Owner blames me for not letting him manage the tank completely so that the tank can be successful. WOW! Isn't he is managing the dosing of Alkalinity, CA, Mg, Trace Elements. Sure!! guess who's managing cleanup & maintenance since of this tank since July 2021? Cleaning and water change was done EVERY TWO weeks. The employee who cleans and does 20%+ water change CAN'T figure out why corals are dying. He tests water chemistry with his kit, the numbers are good every single time. Nitrites, Nitrates, Ammonia zero/none. Alk, Ca, Mg are balanced. Low PH? LOL / Asked me to put Seachem Reef Buffer in sump. Dosing per instructions, shot up Alkalinity to 14. Fishes suffering, corals suffering. Should we use Marine Buffer instead of Reef Buffer - product unheard by this business. Knowledge? Fast forward it’s been a year, no change in corals dying. Lost the original Green Star Polyp coral (one of the hardiest corals). Lost red bubble anemone, lost green anemone. * Adjusted the water flow, lighting, and turned off uv filtration, etc. nothing worked. ** Lost $$$s on many corals, anemones. ** * RO shutoff-turnon valve and float mechanism was acting up, took him weeks to figure out and fix it. Valve was getting super hot, burning smell and the float mechanism was put in reverse. Had to hand topoff with RO water for weeks. * Recently, got all 4 RO filters changed and asked him to price match to AZ. Claims business gets wholesale price and then adds some margin to selling cost. OK - The selling cost is twice that of AZ AND from the original manufacturer website. Told me that employee rang up price of another manufacturer and not the one which i have been discussing price of with him about. Hey! check the photos I sent & ask your employee what's used. He gets upset over text and says,”I am not going to back and forth with you, things are not free...we don't sell this brand of filters..." and then I send him the packaging photos. Following which, guess what he texts, "team is not comfortable continuing this relationship and this is not a mutually beneficial relationship…wish you the best…” Honesty? Business Ethics? * IF things are bought regularly from this business, with their service when they want and how they want - they are happy! DON'T question / DON'T discuss / DON'T suggest / DON'T negotiate things with this business / store owner. * Why my expensive corals are dying in the tank or why is the PH at 7.7? Add more corals and grow my reef system, corals which don’t die in a week or two? * Professionalism? Customer service? Collaboration? Communication? Attitude? Ethics? Knowledge? Quality? Very Disappointed!!! Wasted so much time and lot of $$$s. Minus 5*'s

These guys bought the business from my previous service provider, and, boy, am I glad they did. I have only been with them for a few months, but the quality and professionalism of their service is the best I've experienced, and I have had aquariums for more than 30 years. When they arrived, my tank was in bad shape (lots of nasty algae that I was told I had to live with). They got my tank clean in less than 2 months, and it now looks great! I heartily recommend them for any of your aquarium needs (equipment, fish, corals, service). Their prices are very good, and you won't be disappointed.

Matt and his crew have been servicing our tanks for over 4 years. They are professional, reliable, and most importantly extremely knowledgeable. It is clear that Matt takes great pride in his company and wants happy customers. We would not trust anyone else with our multiple saltwater tanks.
