Relaxing corps of engineers campground. Super clean bathhouse. Strong hot showers. Plenty of space between campsites. Check out the tugboats and barges sailing up and down the river.

This is a Corps of Engineers campground. With a federal Access or Senior pass, camping is half price. And who doesn't love that! I stayed during the winter. Plenty of quiet and solitude. Several long pull-thru sites. Back-in sites are long as well. All sites have plenty of space in between so you don't have to hear your neighbors flushing their toilet at 2am. The bathhouse was clean, private, and the water was very warm. The campground itself was very clean with minimal trash and cigarette butts on the ground. Sites have 50 amp electric and water. No sewer but the dump station is handy and extremely clean. The host was helpful and professional. A very nice man. The campground's road came up quickly. My GPS said I had to drive another mile, so be on the lookout. The correct road is well marked with a sign for the campground. If I ever make it back to Alabama, Jennings Ferry is at the top of my list.

The sites were spacious and well kept. Bathhouse was clean with hot showers. Good place for fishing and boating. Our site as well as many others had beautiful views of sunsets.

This is a very short drive from I-20 and value for money, you can't beat it. The camp host is Southern friendly and the park is very well kept. COE parks never disappoint me and this one is super nice. You can view Black Warrior barge traffic from your spot in the trees, or camp on the slough in the back. It's nice and quiet with hardly any light pollution. I'll definitely return.

I have heard the same thing from a lot of people. I work/live at Jennings Ferry. The army corps of engineers changed computer systems and their website changed too. Everything was down the first part of this month for the change over so nobody could make reservations at all. But it is running fine now. The hosts that does the office are all getting adjusted to it but said the website is a little difficult. Please hang in there. It is like anything else that changes. It will take some getting used to. Have a great day!
No.All sites are modern electric with paved drive ways.
