Beautiful park! Dog friendly. Lots of room to walk around. Playground for the kiddos.

Nice park with a great playground with an area for the bigger climbers and an area for smaller adventurers

We enjoyed this park on a nice, sunny September day. Typical for Long Island this time of year. Trails that allow dogs are located near the boat slip. The trails are wide and well maintained and relatively easy to walk. They are partially used for park equipment. The trails are not marked well though so pay close attention to your map. Unfortunately the trails don’t provide any views of the Great South Bay. They also serpentine with a frisbee golf course. I consider this a one and done. There are many better options, particularly if you enjoy bringing your pups or stopping to enjoy a view.

Park where? The park has different parking areas
Not sure, but I believe only on a leash.
It has benches but not sure about tables
I've seen dogs there but I'm pretty sure it's actually not allowed.
I like fleets cove park, over in Centerport. Not busy, and nice view.
Call the parks department, because people here most likely wouldn't know.
The last law I know of is the following: "§386.1 prohibits smoking in areas where large numbers of people congregate and designated by the commissioner, including (but not limited to) pavilions and picnic shelters, athletic fields, outdoor seating areas near food concessions, public gardens, boardwalks, areas where outdoor environmental education programs occur and any space within 50 feet of buildings. Smoke-free zones previously established by OPRHP include playgrounds and swimming pools. OPRHP will mark all newly designated smoke-free areas with signs. OPRHP anticipates that the public will voluntarily comply with the policy’s regulations, but maintains enforcement authority over smoke-free areas and can issue tickets and fines of up to $250 for violations."
There is a big hill next to the tennis courts. I grew up sledding there & it was a blast!
