Food is good, a bit pricey and server was rude. Need to work on professionalism and customer service. Double check your bill - we were charged twice for our drinks. Our server charged us twice, thankfully another server noticed it and got it fixed for us.

I just have to say that Taqueria Don Pedro is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Effingham, IL. They serve authentic Mexican food. Lili and her staff do an amazing job every time I come into eat. I have been here multiple times and cannot say enough good things about this place. As for a food recommendation, I highly recommend their chimichanga. This is definitely my favorite thing to eat on their menu, but I have tried everything on the menu and it is all great! I highly recommend Taqueria Don Pedro!

Look no further if you looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. This establishment doesn’t follow the cookie cutter typical Mexican restaurant definitely they are outside the mold. As a local, this food is nothing short of incredible. I've eaten here multiple times in the same day. If this place were in Chicago, the line would be an hour long at all times. The al-pastor is SPECIAL. The service is excellent and the staff even better. Get it to-go or eat in the Village Wine & Spirits and then stay for a chic cocktail or bourbon after. Don't miss this local gem.
