If you had registered it in NYS and previously paid sales tax for it in NYS all you will need is a copy of your expired NYS registration. Along with the proper DMV forms, (I think its a DV-82 form that you can get online). Most DMV offices require a reservation (also done online). Walk-ins are not allowed.

Probably not. You need to go online to NYS DMV and make an appointment. Most times the next few days are already fully booked. It also depends on what you want to do at the DMV. You must make an appointment for Riverhead, walk-ins are not allowed at this time.

Unless things have changed in the past two weeks there are no walk-ins allowed. Everything is by appointment only. Go to NYS DMV website and look for scheduling an appointment. It's not very difficult and it saves you time over trying to do it on the phone.

Unfortunately now due to the circumstances that no one wants to work because they are getting more money to stay home and the stress of the pandemic, things will be running behind throughout the country....used to be pay extra get title within 3-10 days. If you didn't pay it was like 3-6 weeks, call Albany directly and maybe it will be sooner....good luck.

I did see people dropping off plates when i was waiting....easily giving them to security no waiting....they supply large manila envelopes for that. Sorry if that was not helpful..good luck !

Best thing to do is make a "appointment" online for your license or something to that nature. Show the security guards that you have an "appointment" and then talk to the ladies at the front counter.

Dmv.ny.gov should be the picture of a bridge go down and there's options for license renewal or setting the date for an actual reservation. The normal DMV site we are use to is not it slightly different.
