I have been a patient at Vanderbilt for years and used to receive great care from the pain clinic Dr. Jackson and then after she departed Dr. Hughes. They were both great. I tried following both of them when they left Vanderbilt but I completely could not find where they went. Both were kind souls and really cared. Helped my a lot. Then Dr. Donald took over my care and everything went downhill real quick. I saw her in Clarksville. I had a bad feeling from the jump. She did the same type of nerve burn procedures as the other doctors only nothing she did even worked at all it it took 10 times longer for her to do it with so much pain. she is not gentle to boot! Also Dr. Donald has this shill sing-song voice and always spoke to me like I was 3 years old. Saw Dr. Sobey in Nashville and all he cared about is money! Overheard Dr. Sobey spouting off in his office at hundred oaks about all kinds of ugly things and even bad mouthing all his bosses. I want nothing at all to do with Dr. Sobey now. Just seems like all the good doctors who really care get ran off and were left with the poor skilled and greedy ones. Dr. Sobey's nerve burns did not work either and he just seemed to rush his resident through everything. Now I go all the way to St. Louis for my pain management and guess what? The nerve burning procedures work again!!! Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Place has gone downhill.

The Drs here literally were laughing at me and another patient when they thought no one could hear them. It was shocking and unforgivable. Anywhere is better than this place especially when they obviously have animosity towards their patients.

I've been a patient for years but now I'm reluctantly finding a new clinic because the office staff is woefully disorganized and unprofessional.

Absolutely not. I have been going to Vanderbilt for Amyotrophy. No cure. I'm in pain 24 hrs a day. Been going to Vanderbilt pain management for 2 months and no pain meds yet. It takes forever to get an appointment and they will not prescribe opiods.
This is a pain intervention clinic. They will try multiple methods to help control pain, lower pain, and improve your quality of life. It is a process so you must be patient.
