I love the folks that work there. In a league of their own
Momma Llama
Always wonderful stopping here. They've helped with school supplies and Xmas gifts for the littles as well as Thanksgiving meals, clothing and food banks. This visit was time to give back. I brought half a uhaul full of clothes and shoes to donate and they happily accepted all of it and helped us unload it

Go to their web site or call them but you should understand that most of their staff are volunteers.
If you cannot call ahead to get an appointment, be there early usually they will try and get you in dot-dot-dot plan for sometime, because they will go through and you will speak with a counselor type person. And they will go through what you need for housewares and other services, then you will get to go shopping at the clothing store, and then go shopping at the food bank all in all takes anywhere between 2 to 4 hours if you utilize all the services
If they are not open then you may take those items to mission arvada which is at the rising church in old town Arvada across the street to the arvada library and they are an outfit called mission Arvada that helps with the unfortunate
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am to 4pm and Thursday 11:30am to 4pm
Depending on availablity we do have ID/Driver's License and/or Birth Certificate (Colorado only) available. We recommend calling 303.237.7704 to check and see what vouchers we have available. As for Social Security Card replacement, to best of the Action Center's knowledge you should be able to get a free replacement from the Social Security office.
Yes, they are giving food away now
Rhonda Dudley I had an appt yet they still bumped me. So I left. I don't know why they bumped me. All I know is I felt Discriminated against.. Especially since I'm Native American and a Disabled Veteran. I fought for my country just to be discrimated against. Then when I called to complain about it they really didn't care..WTF Govt workers just playin their roll and Lookin down on Disabled Vets and who knows what else they do or think about their clients.
Hi Jose, We don't help directly with hearing aids, however, if you're a Jefferson County Resident, we do have a bill pay assistance that might be able to help with part of the purchase price. Please visit theactioncenter.org/get-help for more details!
Me? No. Not at the moment. Although, I could use a new pantsuit.
Hi Sye, We currently don't require any ID to receive services. When you visit, you can see if we have any vouchers for new IDs if that is something you need.
I'm fairly certain they'll be open for clothes exchange Monday thru Friday.
Hi, If we have vouchers available we do provide them. Please call 303.237.7704 to see if we have any available.

I don't know, the web site says they help with housing costs. When we went there was a sign saying that the inside is closed. I would call first.
Hi Shannon, We partner with Spay Today and often have vouchers available for spay/neuter services. Next time you're in, just ask if we have any available
Hi Sandra, Unfortunately we do not. You might want to reach out to an organization called Hands of the Carpenter.

Hi Tiffany, Because of COVID-19 we have lifted some of our regular requirements, which means you don't have to provide proof of address. All you need to do is show up on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or on the 2nd or 4th Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. You'll be able to pick up food and any other items we may have available at that time!
Hi Jasmine, If the bike is in really good condition we can use it for our holiday programs. If the toys are new, we are also able to accept those. However if they're used or gently used, unfortunately we can't take them. Unfortunately, we don't have a source to refer you for used toys, as many agencies like ours are following COVID-19 safety precautions. We are also accepting food that is not expired and we can only accept clean and washed winter clothing (coats, boots, gloves, mittens, hats) at this time. We have had to limit what kinds of donations we can accept because of COVID-19. As we change what we can accept, we'll be updating our website at theactioncenter.org/donate (December 22, 2020)
No it's a luxury item.
Hello, Our party gift shop is December 9-14 at The Rock Community Church. Visit our website at theactioncenter.org/events/#HGS for more details.
Yes a human services person comes and assist with applications and recertification
Not here they will refer you to the Jefferson Co. Human services
I've called all over
I am not sure. I recommend calling to find out.
https://theactioncenterco.org/ways-to-donate/ Donation Drop-Off Hours: M, T, Th, F: 8:30am-4pm, Sat: 9am-Noon CLOSED on Wednesday and Sunday
Yes, they'll take it and clothes and other donations. Its not sold like Goodwill.
They definitely have mostly women's and children's clothes. The men's side tends to be fairly small. What they have depends on what people donate. That said, they have luggage and backpacks. If they don't have something you need, they'll try to get it for you.
Possibly if you call early enough otherwise they will make you wait until the next day
