What a wonderful place!! The grilled shrimp was great! The fried green tomatoes were wonderful!! Tried this chocolate walnut pie—it was fantastic. We will be back!!

My family and I had lunch here. My wife and I had the lunch special which was the chicken dinner. My son had a chicken sandwich which was the same piece of chicken on a bun. My wife usually won't complain about the food when we dine out but I noticed her face turning red. I asked her if she was ok and she said she felt like she was chewing on a rubber band! All three of us agreed the chicken had a gristle like texture. When I went to pay the check I asked the owner about it and she got very defensive. She asked the two waitress's , rather loudly, if they had EVER had any complaints. I know some people won't vocally express a complaint but I know when chicken is tough to chew! The waitress we had was excellent though. We won't be stopping there anymore in larger part to the owners attitude.

Definitely a staple stop for any Rutledge visitor, anyone passing through along the interstate or enjoying themselves at Hard Labor Creek Park. With an expansive menu, anything you choose will be delicious. Save room for desert because they offer a variety of fresh buttermilk pies that will all but melt in your mouth! Combine all of the above with the attentive and friendly staff and you'll understand why it's a place people come from all over to have a meal. It's a joy to bring friends or family and have them experience what I'm lucky to enjoy at my leisure.

Small hometown cafe, nice decor. Was a little disappointed, went in and ordered 3 burgers to go, was told it would be 20 minutes. I sat down and waited 30 minutes. Finally had to ask if my order was ready. The lady went to the kitchen and came back out and said "just 10 more minutes ". I went and sat down right where she had to pass me to go to the kitchen. Everytime she passed by me she would say "a few more minutes". I ended up waiting an hour to get 3 burgers to go. I will admit the burgers were delicious. Response to Owner. If I had not been told "20 minutes" I would not have had any issues with 45 minutes to an hour wait. Y'all have a great place, friendly staff and the food was delicious.
