Good location. Staff was hit or miss, check-in and maintenance were friendly but the front desk made it feel like I was bothering her. The pool is closed and the Evening Service is no longer a thing due to COVID, but they can still do breakfast. So that doesn't quite add up. The room has a stove and oven, but no pots or pans to use them. I asked the front desk and she said there were no more available. The door handle fell off the door, but otherwise in decent condition. There were enough little issues that when added up, I would look elsewhere on my next stay.

My family really enjoyed our recent stay here. We almost exclusively stay at Homewood Suites while traveling, and this is one of the best we've stayed at. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was quiet, and all of the employees I interacted with were helpful and kind. The hotel pool was closed, but we were made aware of that ahead of time. The hotel is located close to plenty of different stores and restaurants. We would happily stay here again next time we are in Grand Rapids.

Staff is friendly, however, like so many others have stated, this place is definitely in need of renovation! The computer room's ceiling is boarded up..no ceiling tiles. Ceilings in bathroom and throughout property are water stained. Indoor pool is still closed since previous viewers comments 3 months ago. No bath amenities in room and no room service. Had to walk down from second floor to front desk to get hand soap (no body bars offered per front desk), as front desk staff was the only one to tend to front desk @ 9pm. No concierge. Rooms are nice sized. This is my first night, so haven't experienced breakfast yet. I am visiting from out of state for my Aunt's funeral. Update on breakfast: No home cooked breakfasts. No waffles or waffle maker.The "cook" simply brought out thawed out cheese omelets and link sausages, which he proceeded to heat up using the community microwave. They were also out of lids for their paper coffee cups.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Greeted cordially, nice breakfast, and good location. Staff very helpful. Signs of wear and tear, but also apparent efforts are being made to remedy these areas. Was here a Friday and Saturday night, and enjoyed how quiet the property was. Comfortable bed and furniture, clean. Snowed Sat and Sun, parking lot was plowed and walkways shoveled immediately after snow stopped. If you are travelling with or without a pet, this is a good place to stay, close to interstate, downtown, and the airport.
