Worst experience I have ever had with a vet in my life. I took my 2 year old German Shepherd for an elective neutering procedure. They did such a bad job that my dog got severe diarrhea (literally water-like) that wouldn't go away and an infection. But what's worse they will not take me in at their emergency room and wouldn't return my calls. The only time I could see them was at the two week check up. In the meantime I had to spend $800 at two other emergency room visits in Norwalk. So I spent double the amount of the procedure and had to endure the agony of my poor dog who was touch and go for close to two weeks. This is unacceptable and they won't take responsibility for their poor actions at the administrative level. Please do not take your dogs there it could cause them unnecessary pain and suffering.

I have been taking my dog to benefield since she was a little puppy, for 24 years, which at the beginning i was very satisfied. Unfortunately for a long time it hasn't been like that anymore, I haven't been happy with them or satisfied at all , I used to take her to the Stamford location, moved to Norwalk and started taking her there. Huge mistake! Worse place of all to take your pet, had a huge fight with them and went back to Stamford. It's better but still. She died last Friday , I called them to let them know since she had an appointment and also to cancel the pet health plan. The girl didn't care she was like ok , here is the number you need to call to cancel it, never said she was sorry or anything and asked me if that was all. Seriously?

To get an appointment is free as far as i know. Like other peoole said they have wellness plans. My dog is on the adult plan which costs me ~35$ a month which allows me to bribg her in whenwverr i want and most of the thibgs they do is covered. Now i did need to get stiches teo times and boy what that expensive so it all deoends what you go with
