Heard about this via a friend and stopped by as we were travelling Route 50. We'd been on the road for hours since we left Ely, and it seemed like a good lunch spot. We were not disappointed! I ordered the sourdough melt and fries. Both were outstanding and VERY reasonably priced. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful even as they were getting slammed by the lunch rush, and service was very quick. Very highly recommend stopping here if you're going down Route 50!

No trip along Highway 50 would be complete without dropping into Middlegate Station for a Monster Burger. Be aware though that one of those will definitely feed two adults! The staff are friendly and so hard working, and you’ll sometimes find live music going on. Love all the naval pilot memorabilia and the wall of shoulder patches.

Great place to stop at while on hwy50. Gas prices were great for being so desolated. Food was good. Tons of booze options. Small market. Camping/rv park. Small cheap motel rooms. Barter system might work there it seems by some of the bar local workers wink wink… very entertaining of a place. Bar lady mentioned a lot of pilots drop in via helicopters every once in awhile too.

Small place in the middle of nowhere. Staff is friendly, laid back environment, the food is really good. Ordered a Monster Burger to split between 2 adults and it was more than enough food. If you’re going through here on Highway 50 it’s definitely worth a stop!

According to the travelnevada.com website, they have tent camping and full hookups. They also have inexpensive rooms for rent.
Definitely! Trucker and Off Road Vehicles of every kind, even a charging station for electric vehicles. Room for everyone!
Download the dyrt app, it gives you near by camping spots.
There is plenty of parking for large vehicles and RVs. :) For lunch I highly recommend one of their burgers! My favorite is the mushroom swiss.
True, there are rentals at middle gate but on some weekends they are filled up. You may want to drive on for an hour either west to Fallon or east to Austin. Fallon is larger and has more motels and stores.
I would gladly have to say Stacy is being a little unfair on the simple fact the rooms have heating, showes and comfortable beds. Those are some things you just can't simple get out of a car. Also the motel has been under new management and needless to say its probably the best it's been in a long time. Its not no 5star place but it does cover basic needs of a room and the people there are pretty accommodating, and they do have great food as wel.
No buffalo burger but their other burgers are great... and, huge!
Masks required unless eating or drinking. Reservations required. Social distanced tables. Only 20 people capacity
You can call directly or go in. They are in the process of adding an online feature to getting a room online. The rooms start out at 30-50 a night for 1 person and 35-55 a night for 2 people. There is a $10 per deposit fee that's none refundable. The differences in price all depends on the amenities you're needing in the room.
