Tried to order dry ice from this business and needed to ask a few questions about how much to buy for my event and was met with an incredibly loud, aggressive and patronizing man with the voice of a teamster or Tony Soprano. Terrible experience. Reply to United City: You may not be able to answer something you don't know but you can show basic manners and not talk over someone in an insulting voice. It's simple common courtesy.

Nice place. Has everything I need. I buy dry ice in pellets. Thy also have ice cubes, crushes ice, blocked ice, any kind of dry ice. You have to call them to make sure they what you need. Always pick up the phone. Recommend

United City is my go-to for dry ice in Manhattan. I have been there several times to get ice for shipping biological samples. They are always fast, efficient, and knowledgeable about shipping overnight on dry ice. The prices are reasonable and location is very convenient (close to subway stations & Lincoln Tunnel). As an added note, the last time I was there, I lost my wallet outside the store. The owner and his cousin held onto it and kept it safe for the 3+ hours it took me to notice! Thanks so much guys, you have a customer for life!

It's 5lb minimum and yes they do sell in pellot form👍.
Dry ice picked up is $2 per 1 lb with a 5 minimum. We also have 40 lb blocks (pre sliced into 10 lb slabs)for $50. Dry ice delivered in MANHATTAN is $75 for anywhere from 40 lbs to 5 lbs, same price delivered. We have both dry ice pellets (shaped like chalk) and 10 lb slabs (2 inch x 11 inch x 11 inch). I'm not for sure but it would be a huge benefit if you contact them and ask cause the know ice very very very well. I would definitely do an inquiry on that.
In a cooler- 24 hours. When placed inside water to make smoke- 5lbs give you 20 min of smoke.
