I moved a month a go I’ve been loving it here. Sam has made the whole move in process smooth and easy. She is always so friendly and helpful whenever I go into the office. Would highly recommend mountain gate.

Please read if you are considering to live here. First off 1 star rating is still too high of a rating, I wish I had the option of no star. These apartment are by far the worst apartments I have ever lived in, I moved here over a year ago and it was roach infested, there were so many roaches to the point where everytime you walk to the kitchen and bathrooms they filled the floor and cabinets. Then the pest control company they used didn't work, I had to remove everything out of my kitchen and bathroom cabinets several times for a service that didn't work , and if we refuse the service because of the hassle, Then they charge you a $75 fee and tell you they will reschedule it and that it has to be done regardless, they would also send someone to your door a day before to make sure you cleared eveything out. Then the way the apartment is set up is that you can smell everything that goes on in the next door and downstairs apartment. Everyone that lives here smokes weed and I guess I was the only non smoker, everytime I came home my apartment spelled like weed, then when I turned on the A/C or heater, the smell would blow through the vents and also come out of the cabinet where the water heater goes. I had to buy my own pest control supplies and caulking to seal every crack in the apartment so no smells or roaches resurfaced. Then the plumbing was an issue! Soon as you turn the water on it had a foul smell, everytime you turn around they're shutting the water off. You can't keep nothing on the balcony or they serve you a notice to move out if you didn't remove the items from the balcony. Then recently around March 2019 they have been allowing this stupid towing company to tow everyone's car, and the manager would call and give them full access to the apartment to tow away visitors cars and who ever else they felt like, in order for your visitor to park in VISITOR PARKING they still needed a permit which only could be given during business hours, so if you had a visitor to stop by at night then their car would have to be parked on the street or it would be towed away, the towing company came every few hours to see who they can tow away. My brother was here for less than an hour and got his car towed away 30 minutes before work and had to pay $445 to get his car back. If you look at all the other apartments on Kendall you will see that these are the worst ones on the block but yet they act like they're luxurious apartment homes, the building is old and falling apart they have a termite problem that have never been taken care of. I seriously would not advise anyone to live here not even my worst enemy. Thank you for reading.

I have only been living here since December but so far so good. My apartment is pretty big for the amount I pay.. I have 2 master bedrooms and a patio. They dont offer washer and dryers in the unit. The manager is very young I was surprised when I walked in to apply since I was driving around to all the different complexes and the managers were at least 25+ but thats not really a big deal. I have had to make 3 work requests since Ive been here but its always fixed in a day or 2. Overall I think this place gives the best bang for your buck the price is the best in the area for a bigger apartment than the others, the manager is friendly I think she lives here at the apartments too, I think its actually pretty quiet here but i live upstairs so maybe thats why. Anyways I like it here!

I lived in Mountain Gate apartments for almost 3 years and just moved out last month, honestly the ONLY positive thing I can say about these apartments is it's budget friendly living. Rent is pretty cheap and you get a nice size apartment. On the downsize there is just about EVERYTHING else. Management is a complete joke and they rip you off every chance they get. Charged us a 25$ deposit for the clicker and when we moved we didn't get it back. Apartment deposit was 950$ total and we got 295$ back. They charged us for cleaning carpets, painting, counter tops, new bathtubs, light fixtures ect, and the only thing that needed to be done was carpet cleaning because we repainted before leaving. So basically they upgraded the apartment on our dime. We had 3 different managers in living there, none of which did their job. Never in the office, never call anyone back and never address problems. Pool was shut down for weeks at a time during every summer due to being unclean and not up to code. They charged a 50$ late fee when rent isn't paid by the 5th of the month yet the manager is NEVER in the office to receive rent, oh and don't count on a rent receipt if you use the drop box, you won't get one unless you catch her in the office and nag her till she does it. They have you sign a noise control agreement which they don't enforce, people are in and out of this "gated" community as they wish because the drive in gate breaks constantly. Leaving stuff on your patio is dangerous because people steal, cars get broken into and their "security cameras" don't even cover most apartments. I only lived here because the rent was cheap, like I said that is about the only plus. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. Sorry but that is the truth.
