Great food! And the staff was amazing. We have found a lil’ gem in our neck of the woods🙏🏽

This place is and continues to be a graceful step back in time. The staff and line servers seem to be genuinely glad to serve you. It reminds me of how much I miss old fashioned no fuss good home cooked meals that are our(well at least mine) familys used to prepare as easily and lovingly as this vast offering of tasteless fast food that's thrown at us today. The food always taste great and is served at correct temps. When I eat good I dont crave snacks or other food items. You are full and SATISFIED. I dont know how the kids photo got here bit its a place that he always cleans his plate. I'm fighting these kids today trying to keep them off the golden arches! Look at his smile!

When I came in the door everyone greeted me with a positive attitude. I ordered oxtails, mac and cheese and dressing. I couldn’t stop there I had to add greens and sweet potatoes. Of course I had to try their banana pudding and lemonade. Usually when you go somewhere it going to be something you don’t care for. Everything was delicious. I will definitely stop by the next time I’m in the area.

St. Rest No. 2 Country Kitchen is one of the best tasting SOUL FOOD restaurants in the US. Nicely located on the South Side of Chicago with parking available. The food is great with plenty of meat options to choose from along with sides, vegetarian options were available as well. The staff at St. Rest were extremely nice and gracious. I’m glad I gave them a try, will definitely be eating there way more often.

No
It's soul food. Gravy, smothered and braised deliciousness as far as the eye can see. Macaroni and cheese, cabbage, collards and peach cobbler
That's a good idea and all but this isn't a big business and everything. Small businesses are having a tough time keeping up with the rising Cost Of Living Wage from the city and now the state has their version. Yes, like I said that's a good idea but not if they have to raise prices.
No they are open for business as usual
