The trail is almost completely in the shade, so it is suited for hot days. Way up took us 45 minutes, and the views are gorgeous.

Nice hike, part of the Tupper lake triad. BIG parking lot that is plowed regularly and has handicap accessible parking, right off a well-maintained, plowed road. First half a mile of this trail is actually paved and can be accessed by people in wheelchairs. The remaining mile is in the woods and off-road. Great views from the bald summit. About 3.2 miles round trip. Open all year, any season, free!

Half the trail is old road and the other half is typical hiking. Not overly steep and good for all ages.

This was our final hike for the year b4 snow comes which we completed on October 13. Conquered the Tupper Lake Triad (Mount Arab, Coney Mountain and Goodman Mountain) - 5 hrs later with a combined elevation of 7003 ft (1893 ft ascent). At 2,178ft (581ft elevation), and 4.8 kms round trip, goodman Mountain took only 1 hr and 15 minutes to complete at a moderate pace. Fun trail and good for beginners - the first half is very easy.

It's partially paved to make it handicap accessible. Not steep at all (less than 800' gain) and a beautiful view at the top.
