The views are gorgeous! Customer service is fantastic all staff were incredible. Even seemed to really care about the history of the area and really enjoyed being part of our occasion π π π. Room 11 in evergreen was perfect for us on our honeymoon. Incredible views of the sunset and moon setting over the ocean in the wee morning hours. Highly recommend the recreations here very well maintained and has a nostalgic resort atmosphere. 100% will be coming back thank you for your unparalleled hospitality β€οΈ make sure captain Richard gives you a complimentary boat tour of the harbor! Very knowledgeable and fun! -A&J C.

A very poor experience. In a βresortβ with buildings so spread apart on hilly terrain valet parking and/or golf cart shuttles should be provided. Here, it is like camping, you carry your own stuff. We booked a accommodations closest to the water for a view which could not be had from our sitting room or bedroom. By standing outside in the rain on the edge of our tiny porch we got a pie shaped piece of water over the tree tops blocking an open view. The sink in the bathroom is cracked, pitted and gouged. The sink does not drain,so the stubble from shaving clings and coats the scratched basin. Disgusting. Like the sink, the shower door and jetted tub are hold overs from the 80βs. Canβt imagine the scum in the tub jets. The tile floor was ice cold as outdoor temperature was 53. No rug, so you must stand on your wet tub mat. There is no hook or rod upon which to hang your towel or robe. You must march across the slippery frigid floor to retrieve either. Not even a one ounce tube of body lotion was provided . The lamp near the bed side table did not work. Need ice? Another foot field trip. All so poorly appointed. The muffins that were promised with coffee until 8:00 am. weβre not served or never replenish. Not a banana or a thimble of yogurt. Alas, my expectations must run too high for a βresort.β They could not even provide HOT WATER for tea!!! So,breakfast in the dining room. Limited offerings. The avocado toast, which I assume was once crisp, was made soggy by the cool salsa that covered it. I love a runny egg but, the egg white that slither off the top was cold. The βtraditionalβ breakfast was nothing special. Both plates were garnished with, nope, not a Maine blueberry, sliced strawberry or a pinwheel of banana but julienned yellow and green squash. What! Portions were small and ridiculously expensive. A pancake was $7.00 extra. My hot water did materialize, that and a Lipton tea bag cost $5.00. 4 wicker chairs constitute the less than impressive decor of the main lobby. The tired den has no appointments worth commenting on. The heated pool is football fields away. I suppose one must ride a bike to and from. The cold water pool is at the bottom of a steep embankment near the water and is small and featureless. Perhaps for those surrounded by concrete, asphalt and living and working in tiny cramped spaces without polish or refinement, this resort is heaven on earth. To me it is cheap lipstick on a old and dowdy woman. Better views, better food, better service, better accommodations can be easily found elsewhere. But,if you must have an outdoor chessboard,a running trail and a kaiak and not much else and wish to pay a premium price, this is the place for you.

Spruce Point didn't quite live up to expectations. My husband and I planned our activities in advance and registered for what we could (whale watching), only to realize when we arrived that most of the activities on Spruce Point's website are only available after Memorial Day or even later in the summer. The grounds were lovely, and we enjoyed ping pong in the rec room and hiking on the rear of the property. But the food at the Salty Stag was mediocre and the bikes available to borrow were broken. The room had a great view and was cute and old-fashioned, but the ceilings made my husband have to stoop and we kept getting awoken by the sound of the foghorn going all night, plus the WiFi was too patchy to use reliably. While the town was great to explore by walking and by electric bikes we rented, we won't be coming back for a follow-up visit.

We got married here in August. The property was in perfect condition and truly impressed even the pickiest of my guests. Many have already booked or are planning to book their next stay here! The team was great, but especially Kayce. Her attention to service was incredible and level of detail& commitment to seeing it through was next level. We were certainly not the easiest bride & groom, as we wanted to do things that had never been done previously and host and entire weekend of outdoor events. She pushed for us to be able to do all of the things we dreamt of. I later found out all of the ins and outs she pulled off behind the scenes to make our dream weekend come true. She was such an advocate for us and our day! Truly came to love and adore her and since, my whole family considers her a lifelong friend. The weekend of the event, the entire staff was A+. Throughout the weekend, we heard countless stories from our guests about how over the top the service was. Everyone was friendly and kind. We will be SPI guests for life!!
