We splurged.. we had to let our dog cross the rainbow bridge, and this was the perfect place to help with the grief.. Our daughter got the Top drawer burger, hubby and I got the pretze crusted Walleye, we also had the artichoke dip, each had a cup of soup..Chilli, clam chowder. Sit pea with ham..all are homemade from recipes of 45 yrs. We all split crème brûléé and a brownie delight for desert.. this place is wonderful, we sat outside overlooking the pond with the weathered man fishin on his raft. Dragon flies, and bullfrog s.. AMUST place to go.. if I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Really good food, friendly and fast service, small wait to get in but worth it. A family runs the business and you can tell they care about the food and service. Atmosphere is a little dated, but appropriate for the area. Kinda suprised they haven't updated the waiting area - it's like an old storefront with a antique glass case used for storage of stuff they haven't used in forever based on the dust inside. But everything else is very clean. An updated waiting / hostess area would do a lot for the first impression. But the food and service was impeccable.

Great service, and great food for the price. Obviously a family run business, as the owner and his staff were hustling the entire night. Nice to see, as good service is becoming a rare thing.

Staff's service is always superb. Burgers are quite unique; the pretzel bun is well worth the extra buck. The soup selection has always been good here. This trip, I had the lentil soup, which was full of flavor, and their ribeye done medium. It came out cooked like ordered. It was a decent cut, tender and marbled. Server was attentive, and kept our glasses refilled. Great experience.
