Highly Recommended! We are in Bar Harbor for the summer and couldn't locate a vet anywhere with openings (6-8 weeks out). Our poor baby had a UTI and we needed something same day. I called around and River Road was kind enough to squeeze us in. I absolutely cannot say enough kind words to express how grateful we are. Thank you so much!

I was able to get my I'll guinea pig in for an oral exam within 24 hrs of calling. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly, and knew which questions to ask as soon as I told them what my concern was. I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone who has an exotic pet...small rodents, lizards and reptiles, and birds to name a few.

I absolutely LOVE this place! We brought our bunny Stella in for a well check up and I'm grateful I found found this place! So nice and caring since the first phone call. Very professional and caring. I have actually scheduled a visit for our new puppy when he turns 9 weeks old for his second round of shots (he's only 5 weeks old and haven't got him yet til he turns 8 weeks on April 30th) .. they are so nice here at River Road Veterinary hospital.. they all had nice comments about Stella and how cute she is 💕 and how chubby she is lol 💞 again overall WONDERFUL PLACE AND WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE here I'll only stay with this vet 💞

I brought my Jackson's Chameleons there (Adam and Eve) today! Eve for a routine health exam and Adam for a sick visit. They ALL had been amazing since the first phone call to schedule my Chams appointments and EVERY.SINGLE.INTERACTION since that <3 They both got a great bill of health and everyone was so pleasant, informative, friendly and over all, so genuinely sweet !!! <3 Their prices were excellent as well, great vet care (to me, is priceless anyways) but it was a very reasonable, affordable and fair cost. TY to the wonderful vet, and all staff members there !!

We do see exotics, pocket pets, and birds! Bring your furry or feathered companion to us whether they are big or small. We look forward to speaking with you.
