Wonderful, cozy restaurant! What a find! Wish we didn't live 10 hours away!! Ambience was great. Sat on the patio. Food was fabulous. and our waiter was truly superb. He said he'd worked there 17 years. He knew his food & his wine. In fact we brought a couple bottles of the wine home with us to Tulsa. This would definitely rate as one of our best dining experiences!

Very enjoyable - beautiful design, friendly service, tasty food. The kitchen is stretching to make interesting dishes and we enjoyed most of them. Duck nachos weren’t really nachos, as the chips were soft from being piled high with toppings, but flavor was great. We ordered all small dishes, with the Asian Noodles the consensus favorite. Leave room for dessert! Recommended.

Best meal I've had in Rockford thus far. I was really impressed with the flavor and presentation. We were served slices of bread a long with a dish or butter topped with Italian spices, and salt were served. My spouse and I ordered, from the small plate, duck nachos. The duck nachos were served on fried wontons and topped with red cabbage, a fresh cheese, cilantro, avocado, jalapeno peppers (seems like they pickled their own), and a slightly spicy red sauce. From the large plate, I ordered blacked scallops, and shrimp with pork belly. The scallops were medium rare (but if you’re picky they will cook to the doneness you like), on a bed of brown rice a type of celery, and something from the broccoli family, with a tomato-based slightly spicy sauce. The shrimp with pork belly was served over the creamiest cheese grits topped with a red sauce, and scallions that served as garnish, flavor and crunch. For dessert we ordered the warm chocolate cake. The cake was similar to a molten lava cake served with a caramel sauce and crème anglaise, very tasty. The tip was added into the bill. upscale restaurants in large cities charge for your meal and add service fee(tip) when you make a reservation. The total was just over $151 including tip.

A truly awesome experience, from our tasting at their restaurant to them adjusting their menu to accommodate every guest's dietary needs. Their food was what everyone talked about the next day. With great main dishes and excellent apps, some of which were saved for us to enjoy during the craziness of the day. Karen was great at coordinating with us to organize the day.

The menu varies. Abreo cannot be categorized. They like to buy locally when possible. They serve tapas style so you can sample many things.
