In March 2022 I was diagnosed with a severe disc herniation which affected my left leg and caused severe pain at the bottom of my left foot. Prior to the herniation, I had also been experiencing pain in my lower right leg. Met with Dr Shah on April 5th and he scheduled me for surgery on April 15th. Dr Shah was my 2nd opinion and the other spine doctor said they would not be able to get me into surgery for at least one month. In about 3 days Dr Shah's office completed the insurance approval, schedule my pre-surgery appt, and ensured I was ready for my surgery. I arrived at the hospital at 6:45am. Each nurse was very friendly and treated me well. Sometime after noon mid-day, I woke up and was greeted with black coffee and about 20mins later the staff had me get up and start walking. I have been in recovery since then and feeling better everyday. I also had about 10 x PT appts as part of my recovery. After surgery there has been virtually no pain in my right leg. I still suffer from nerve damage in my left leg, but Dr Shah said this is expected and may take one year to fully heal. Needless to say, I feel so much better thanks to Dr Shah and Baylor Scott White. If you are having back issues, I highly recommend Dr Shah especially if you need surgery. For context, I was required to have a discectomy on L5-S1 and a laminectomy on L4-L5. After these procedures, I thought I would be in the hospital for a few days. Although I was in pain from surgery, I was up and walking hours after my surgery. Walking after surgery made the pain tolerable. To me this is the result from a top quality spine surgeon. Intake and staff need some training waited 2 months for an appointment Doctor is not a PCP now I have to wait another 2 to 3 months to start my healthcare

Dr. Shah is blessed with a healing gift. Some people find their life’s calling, Dr. Shah is one of those people. I recommend him wholeheartedly without any reservation. I would personally bring my family members and closest friends to him for surgery. I couldn’t walk before meeting Dr. Shah. Now I can walk.
