This Pep Boys taught me a valuable life lesson. Do not blindly accept recommended repairs without getting a second opinion, or at least looking for yourself. I had a tire pressure light last week and brought it here. They told me I had a nail in both passenger tires and those tires were dry rotting/cracking. They recommended replacing both tires. It didn’t make sense to me so I held off on the repairs and went to another tire shop elsewhere this morning. They inspected the tires — as I suspected, no nails and no dry rotting/cracking. It was a sensor issue instead. Sad.

This place is atrocious. I got my car's oil changed on August 21st due to an upcoming road trip the following weekend. And today while driving my car on the NJ turnpike I see my car's engine starts heating up and the oil sign starts flashing. I pull over at a rest stop and check the engines oil levels. To my shock, it was at a minimum. Thankfully I was able to purchase the engime oil at the rest stop, refill it myself nd continue my trip. I lost an hour on my trip as I had to let the engine cool down. I was shocked how reckless this place is, and that they did not even put adequate amount of engine oil during the oil change. Such sloppy work - I will be disputing the charges on my cc for the oil change. Never again. Avoid this place at all costs.

Took my car in for a SPECIFIC problem and they charged me as if they fixed it but NEVER did. Took it back so they can PROPERLY fix it but again they never did. Ultimately they said they can't fix it but that they charged me for whatever they did. I was basically robbed.

Had an appointment for 10 am for tires and was out by 10:45 am. Friendly agents and polite. Plus the place itself is very clean.
