My mom has been recuperating here after a fall and we are all so pleased with the care she is getting. There are so many compassionate nurses and aides that really show they care and that is so important! The PT has been excellent! We highly recommend this facility and we thank everyone who has helped my mom heal so quickly. I would give 10 stars if I could!

My sister-in-law was in a car accident in June and was admitted shortly after to Brookhaven Health Care Facility for in-patient physical therapy. While she was there, the nursing staff were really nice and helpful, but that is the only positive about this place. The food was garbage and most times we had to bring her something from the outside to eat. She was discharged because her secondary insurance denied her stay (they claim they didn't receive enough information from the facility proving that her stay was medically necessary, even though she was clearly non-weight bearing due to fractured knee, tailbone, ankle and heel). She went home without even having the proper equipment (wheelchair and walker) and had to wait 2 days to receive it. She was told that we would receive a call from an outpatient physical therapist within 24-48 hours and that call never came. I had to call them myself and give them all the information because they had no record of her but they wouldn't see her without a script so I reached out the social workers and nursing staff to get that script and nobody responded to me. I also needed a letter from the doctor saying that she couldn't work for her no fault claim and they kept telling me they were waiting for the doctor's signature but 10 days later I still haven't received it. It's like it's no longer their problem since she is no longer in their facility and they are no longer making money off of her.

My Mami has been there for rehab on and off! Now she's been there for 3 yrs as her dementia has progressed! I've seen the compassion, Kindness of the people there! Taking care of her since I can't I have spent many days just hanging out with her there! They are professional while loving towards the clients there!
