There were some very nice aides who did try their best but they are so understaffed they just cannot handle all of the residents in the dementia unit. They made promises they could not keep and then when my father became too much for them to handle they kicked him out even though they said they could handle him and all of his needs. If your family member is mobile and stands up for themselves where they can’t be pushed around then this is not the place for them.

I cannot begin to explain how impressed I have been with how this establishment has been with helping my mom to move in. Her medical issues prevented her from moving in right away, but they kept her apartment on hold until she was ready. Kristen the director has been there for 18 years and was able to clearly explain what needed to happen and offered any support we needed. Tara the move-in coordinator spent 2 hours with me going over her paperwork the weekend before she was scheduled to arrive. Jeff has been a saint with helping me through last minute details, especially when the rehab she was coming from fell short. The care manager I met on move-in day was so personable and fun to be around, taking care of my mom and me. Brandywine provides a higher level of medical care than most assisted living facilities due to their enhanced license. The place is beautiful and very well maintained. She is safe, well cared and I know she is going to be very happy there. They even helped with getting her bed delivered and cable hooked up so I didn’t have to take off from work.

Brandywine Living at Huntington Terrace is a wonderful place. I have worked as a Social Worker in the field of Geriatrics for over 25 years and have been to many Assisted Living Facilities. I have had family members at several facilities in NY and I now have a family member at Brandywine. I can tell you from professional and personal experience that making the move to Brandywine was such a wonderful decision for my loved one. My entire (large family) could not be happier to see how she loves her new home. I know that moving a senior from their home can be a difficult decision, but it is so worth the adjustment - once you see your loved one thrive, making friends, joining clubs, regaining some of their independence with the support they need, you will have peace of mind. Brandywine is a wonderful place, it is clean and bright, the staff is wonderful, the apartments and common areas are lovely and the residents are treasured- it's a place where seniors are like my loved one are living beautiful lives.

I am very happy living here. I particularly want to thank several people who have been very helpful to me. I must mention Donata, and Tara O. Special commendation to John and Robert for everything they have done for me.

Yes they do
The answer is no, this is not subsidized housing. This facility is for independent/assisted living but you need the money to pay for it. My mother-in-law lives here....very nice place.
Pricing is fair. There is no pool!!
Yes, we welcome pets!
