It is such a relief to know that she is surrounded by well-trained and caring professionals in a place that feels like home. Deposit given for a tentative room for father however he never made it into the Sunrise. Evaluation team decided that the diagnosis and care plan that Hospital Doctors provided for my father did not meet Sunrise's own medical team's evaluation. Nurses can not diagnosis and a Doctor's care plan should override Sunrise's health team. They asked for a medical diagnosis which was impossible and thus so said they would not accept him. Their medical team also wanted services provided that would actually hurt the patient instead of helping him heal. Admission counselor was rude and nasty to hospital social worker and discharge personnel trying to obtain this transition. After weeks of going back and forth between hospital staff, our family and Sunrise we asked for our deposit back. Honesty would have gone a long way in this account. If the patient is beyond your facilities capabilities that tell the family that so they can move forward instead of stringing us along. Shame on them for their business and medical team practices.
