They are dishonest with their prices. It’s posted on the website at one price and when you check in they told me it was for the other side. When I checked into the other side/cheaper side I was charged $10 more per night. I’ve been staying there for over a month and went through my old receipts and they will up the taxes to make sure they charge you more. I stayed there two days ago and was charged over 12.5%. I called Charlestons hotel commerce and with their tax rate and the states it’s a total of 9%. Their checkout time is posted 11:00 but they insist your out by 10:00. Yesterday they were calling my room at 6:00am to get me out so they could clean!! I was in room 11 yesterday and have small bites all over my body. To take advantage of someone when they’re at their lowest point is really unacceptable. My sons in the hospital and I just needed a decent cheaper place to stay. I wasn’t aware of their practices until I was home yesterday and looked at all my receipts.

Positive: Price and Location. Great View of the River and a nice bench to eat my Breakfast and enjoy the view. Negative: The Bugs found in my Bed. I had to sleep in the Chair. Although l didn't expect a Budget Hotel Front Desk Clerk to be a Master of Hospitality greeting me checking in, he only kept repeating over and over demanding me to give him a Great Review.

Positive: Easy location to find. The room was clean and very adequate for the price. Check-in staff very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant next door and the food was delicious! Negative: The checkout time online is stated as 11:00 am, but staff came to my room at 10:00 am to clean. They need to change the online information.

Well let me tell you when you come out this way you're going to find a lot of potholes in front of you. But once you get to potholes you're closer to Kanawha City. We originally elected for the rooms near the highway and decided to pay more for a room on the other side of the building facing the river. Included are some photos. The one of them is Google Maps say to turn right and then turn left that way is incorrect. I already tried to relocate the entrance on the map. And you can see from the photo the other entrance is blocked. You can see my other photos where the entrance is and where the office is located. There's also a small restaurant called the West Virginia Anchor where you can get something to eat. And you can order it and then go to your room and they'll bring it to you.
