Beautiful station. An amazing view of the nearby mountains on the other side of the Hudson River. I take this train to go home from my vacation up there. Going home is the worse part, but being at this station makes things better. The station is usually not crowded and trains seems to always arrive/depart on time when I'm there. Even if the train were a few minutes late, the amazing view you get from there is definitely worth the wait.

No, the Peekskill Metro North does not go to NJ. You will need to take it to Grand Central in NYC, and then find a route to get to Newark from there.
Usually $9 for 12 hours. Cortland is much cheaper at $4.50 for 16 hours.
