Reeder is a great place to hike, camp or fish. Particularly if you have a large group or young families. The site is large, flat and has running water, flushing toilets and showers. It also hosts a network of well-maintained trials and several geocaches. Harrisonville Parks and Rec manages the site and schedules rentals. The schedule fills quickly. There is a water park across the lake that offers group discounts. The entry road is narrow and adjacent to the lake, which causes it to flood in heavy rain.
