This is the only public library in Redding. The librarian on duty said Samuel Clemens lived in the area the last years of his life, and willed part of his estate to be used to build the library. The library is beautiful and feels very cozy. It was quite empty but was as well stocked as any public library.

The book fair falls on Labor Day Weekend every year. This year it will run August 31st to September 3rd. Friday: 9-6 prices as marked. Saturday: 10-4 prices as marked. Sunday: 10-4 half price day. Monday: 9-4 $10 for a box full of books. Where: The Redding Community Center, 37 Lonetown Road, Redding CT.
