I was blown away by the natural beauty of Wilson. The amazing sandstone bluffs & formations, the abundant and diverse flora, and the clean trash-free campgrounds, and the beautiful hiking trails are perfect. I will most definitely be back sooner than later.

Beautiful lake views, nice level and well kept sites. Just a short detour off I70. Bathrooms are adequate but could use thorough cleaning and refresh.

I just happened to stop here for a quick hike while passing through the area. Definitely a great park that I would like to explore more of in the future.

This had to be one of my top places to stay at during our 5 week cross country trip. Clean park, out in the middle of Kansas, crystal clear lake water, which to me was a huge bonus, nice breeze, trees for shade or laying in a hammock. Black sky at night to watch the stars..I had such a great day at this lake, that we all overslept, so didn't get showers til our next stop, so I can't comment about showers or bathrooms. Also the rocks in the lake had such gorgeous coloring to them too, just a beautiful, magical place. My 3 kids loved it!! Get a waterfront site at this place, it's quiet and super clean too. Boats and jet skies welcomed too!! Check out my pictures, these were taken from my camping area, shame this place is only 19 hour drive from my house, but again, like this place so much I checked it out!

Call kwpt. I believe they are keepers of the keys.
The cabins are all similar and reasonably nice. Pics here... https://ksoutdoors.com/State-Parks/Locations/Wilson
I believe $13. It was $10 for camping plus $3 admin fee. There are self pay stations.
Yes there is. I think it is $4 a day
Like all of Kansas.....sketchy
I'd call the state park ranger to get an answer to that.
Most of the campgrounds are closed due to the water
Depends on the fisherman really. If I'm standing by you you're likely to do pretty good. Been my experience anyways.
All camping trailers need a permit. Not sure about special permits for out of state.
Yes
Also indiangrass, switch grass
The above is correct. That is the place to go for kayaks. Be aware that if it is too windy you will not be able to take them out on the lake.
You can reserve the electrical sites but not the tent sites
Also electrical gets shut off in some campgrounds at that time. I know that big blue stem is open with service. We camp at all the different camp sites thru Oct and never had any problems.
Both stores have the easentials for camping. Drinks, food, ice, bait, boat and camper parts.
100's of sites with elec and water. Check web site for availability.
A kansas fishing license. Depending on if you are resident or non resident the types of licenses you can buy.
Always seems to be room for primitive camping.
