Do not let a loved one come here. The nurses and doctors are overworked which makes it unsafe, chaotic, and completely dehumanized. They only pay attention to the patient once you’re borderline dead but pain management and prevention is not even a thought. Other patients are crying for help and nobody listens. Families advocate for their loved ones and are thrown out for speaking up without being allowed to speak with the doctor. And there is absolutely no respectful treatment from the charge nurse. I’ve been to busy ERs. Presbyterian and NYU to be specific and even in the most busiest nights, in the middle of COVID, patients and families are respected and taken care of. I had to take my father out last night who was at risk of a heart attack because he felt unsafe and treated like a piece of garbage. It was the most heartbreaking and embarrassing experience I’ve had. Such a shame that in such a renowned hospital, patients and families feel unsafe, uncared for, and disrespected in the midst of a life or death health situation.

I have received excellent medical care at Mount Sinai, but their billing department is a nightmare. I am repeatedly charged for services 100% covered by insurance, but the hospital is trying to squeeze more money out of people. An example is a recent routine colonoscopy that was 100% covered by insurance, and the doctor I saw agreed. I got a HUGE bill! When I complained, the bill was "corrected," but guess what? The amount nearly doubled, and now I have to go back and forth with the hospital and insurance to fix it. Guess what, Mount Sinai! Just like mammograms, routine colonoscopies are covered by insurance BY FEDERAL LAW!!! Now I am facing more billing drama. I had an at-home sleep study. I was told in writing before I took the study my out-of-pocket cost would be less than $400. Today I got a bill for the 3X that amount. After spending 30 minutes calling and emailing, I was told I was being charged a facility fee -- I did not spend the night in the hospital! This was an at-home study! So now I have to call bazillion people to get this bill corrected! The stress from being overbilled is making me sick. I never want to see a doctor associated with this place again. It's not worth the hassle! I feel like they size people up to decide up much money they can squeeze out people. If I knew I was going to be overcharged, I never would have gone ahead with these services. This is why people don't like going to see the doctor. They are frightened of the medical bills and in this case, I have great insurance that cover these costs!!! What is up Mount Sinai??

No.
Yes
B C train - 110 street 1 train - 110 street or 116 street
Call the main number and ask for medical records. You will have to make an appointment, but they can get the info you will need. You will have to prove that you have the the legal right to obtain the documents. In other words you will have to prove that you are the next of kin and are responsible for the estate of the deceased.
Wow!
That would depend on the forum you wish to use.
If this is an emergency, please call 911.
Not that I'm aware of, but there is a Psyche.
That sounds terrible.
No
If there is a danger to someone either call 911 or bring to a hospital.
Typically 1pm to 8pm but it does also depend on the unit the patient is on
