I was just discharged from this hospital after an unexpected 3 night/4 day stay with meningitis. I'm not from the area and was hesitant about coming based on the reviews. But I also know that only people who have had negative experiences leave reviews. I wanted to come and share my experience. Starting with the ER, I was seen immediately. Kevin, my ER nurse was kind and compassionate and the doc was extremely thorough and I'm so glad he recommended the spinal tap to correctly diagnose me. Once admitted, every nurse and doctor who saw me was kind, patient, thorough and truly seemed to care about my treatment. Shelley, marylene, krystn, tracey, Jennifer, Luke were some of the nurses I had and I'm so thankful for them all! The nurse assistants were great too. Im thankful for Dr morlok and Dr palay who gave me the best care to get me out of there and back to my family. Discharge was quick and easy! If you are considering coming to this hospital, please remember to be kind to the nurses! They are there to help you! I saw some patients who were rude and unkind to them and they certainly don't deserve it. Overall, despite the circumstances, it was a positive experience for me.

All staff were very courteous and I was seen in a short time. They went over and beyond to take care of my issues. For having to go to the ER (no one wants to) this was a very pleasant experience. I especially appreciated the registration nurse that spoke with me at length and helped schedule testing.

My wife is a spinal surgery patient. All good things to say about the surgical team and PT Allison. BUT the nursing care is the worst I've seen since the Vietnam era. Initially she was placed in the maternity ward due to room. Nursing care there was very good. Pain manament, etc. Then she was moved to the medsurg floor. Very, very poor attention to patient particularly regular medication including pain management. Very disappointed.

Someone PLEASE have your E.R. staff learn manners and boundaries. I understand the chaos that has ensued after the pandemic. I respect EVERY hospital employee, but our experience was terrible. My Husband was having extreme pain, vomiting and fever. We were forced by weather to call an ambulance. Upon arrival, the man at the front desk was rude and ignorant to what was going on around him. I was the only one in the waiting room, I had walked in, greeted the man with an anxious Hello, and recieved nothing but a glare. I stated that my husband came in on an ambulance, interrupted me and said " Do you need to be seen or not" well obviously not if I'm walking ,talking and CLEARLY stated My Husband. He had me sit for 15 minutes, then said" He's I number 6". A little bit of hospitality goes a long way, especially when your distressed and worried about family. I wish I could have said that this is where my bad experience stopped but it didn't. After multiple nurses and staff hooked my husband up and distributed fluids he realized that he needed to use the restroom, so up on the doctors request he was to lay still and alert someone when he needed to urine so they could take a sample. When I went to the ER desk nurses, station I said that my husband needs to use the restroom, at that moment I was yelled at and interrupted by a horribly horrid rude employee. She said" what freaking room did you just come out of what room did you come out of twice and rude I looked at her and told her she could address me in a proper manner and she said that she did not do anything wrong she proceeded to follow me into the room and I requested her to stay away my husband was very distressed as he was passing a kidney stone and we did not know. While standing and waiting for my husband CT, the nurses two males two females were joking and laughing and eating while my husband was needing to go to the restroom. Another nurse was also on the phone talking to someone inquiring about the wait or if there was a wait, she began to hold her hand up mimicking that the person was talking too much. I felt so uncomfortable and so unsafe these people were making a mockery of the two patients that were in the ER. I've seen multiple people complain about rudeness can someone please please address this so these people will learn but their actions are making people go 20 miles to go to Mission where you're treated like a human and not an inconvenience. I do not intend to ever go back here ever. I would love to spend our insurance on something that makes us feel beneficial and safe.
