I've been a customer for 6 years now with the same employer and same union. Over the years when my yearly eye exam is due I dred walking in because the receptionist seems to always victimize the customer in regards to whats covered. Wouldn't you think after 6 years you would know what the customer insurance covers? And if your having a problem with certain customers insurance put a note in the persons file instead of just saying you have to pay out of pocket. Only one person I try to deal with is Yvette due to the facts so will go the extra mile and make calls to David vision instead of making it seems like an over bearing task. Sad! I have taken my business else where.

Incompetent worker. I came in for eye exam. I asked to fitted for contacts lens. The receptionist tells me its has to be medical needed. I stated to her I use contacts and glasses all my life I need to see. She said you have glasses on you need to medical condition to use contacts. If I use your insurance they wont pay contacts lens and i express to her they pay for both. she like if you want contacts exam here you have to pay $199 why would i pay that if its cover by my insurance. She like its not medically needed because your wearing glasses. Your not a doctor its medically needed if I need it to see. I said let the doctor tell me that. what bother me the most they knew I was getting contact exam and my insurance said they expect just because I walk in with glasses your giving me issue.

Do not go in there with your eyes closed.... know your prices. Beware of the short dark West Indian woman with glasses & George, they are SCAMMERS, they will milk you!!

I went to Flatbush Optical recently to get a glasses prescription. Literally everybody I encountered—from the front desk staff to the optometrist—was friendly, helpful, and professional. I was in and out quickly. A great experience all around. Thank you!!
