Beautiful spot to camp or hang out for the day. For the most part, the experience was all positive. The current rate for a campsite is 18.00. Looking around the Campground, it seemed a bit much. First, there is an inadequate number of toilets. In fact, there's only one in the camp area. An adjoining hiking trailhead parking lot has more but the stalls in the men's didn't lock nor did the outer door latch. Mildly concerning in bear country. I noticed a couple of picnic tables in sites that were in poor condition. The beach space from the Campground is fairly limited as well. The road in isn't too bad, but a little rough at least in my car. Fantastic dark sky's for photos, hiking, beautiful views, very near the water for recreation.

Pettit Lake Campground is AMAZING... Except during Labor Day weekend! Then it is just plain INSANITY! Our camp host Keith was fabulous during the 9 days we were there even though he had so much chaos to deal with.

This was the best lake and campground ever!!! Beautiful and scenic mountains surround this secret escape... Visit... It's worth the trip...

Lots of wasps in the campsites. Campsites very open not a lot of shade in most of them . Great hiking area and the small lake is beautiful
