This trail is about a 2 mile long switchback, and what is at the end will blow your mind. It is a giant Y. It’s big and white and if that’s what you climbed all the way up to see then I have a surprise for you- you can actually see it from the bottom. You can also see it anywhere from Provo, basically. The view at the top is nice, but I wish someone would have told me you can see it from my house, otherwise I would have skipped out on carrying my 5 year old sister up the whole thing. The bathrooms are nice though so if you’re bored just get outside and go hike it. Also I saw a mountain goat on it one time and that was pretty neat. And a snake. I don’t know if they were real or just decorations but they sure were cool.

This is a pretty easy trail, even if you aren't in tip top shape. It gets a bit steeper towards the end, but you can go to the bottom of the Y rather than the top if you're looking for a shorter hike. Both the bottom and the top have amazing views of the valley, so either option is a good pick. There's a lot of space to sit and hang out once you get up there, so even if there are other people you can still have your own space.

Be prepared for a steep hike and a huge change in elevation. It's only about .95 to the bottom of the Y! It's a great hike to see the whole of Utah valley! The signs are funny and encourage you along the way- "Great start, Keep Going, Your almost there" Summer: It can get very very hot so make sure to be covered, wear sunscreen, and bring water! Winter: The snow and ice can be very slippery so make sure to bring proper shoes and spikes! Normal hiking boots will not cute it in the weather. Spring: The melting snow and rain can lead to muddy and slippery surfaces so make sure to be careful!

Hiked to the Y with my 6 little ones (ages 15 months to 11 years old) and it was a blast!! It's a fun hike...it is steep in parts but there are people of all ages and fitness levels doing it. There are motivational and educational signs at every bend. You can hike to the bottom, middle, or top of the Y. 10 signs to the bottom. There are benches along the way and again when you reach your destination. There are binoculars near the bottom of the Y that you can use to overlook the beautiful valley. The middle of the Y has picnic tables if you want to pack a lunch. This is a hike my kids love and always ask to do. We just take water and snacks, the hike itself takes us about an hour round trip, but we usually spend about 30 minutes or more on top enjoying the view and some snacks.
