Today is August 28th. I was at the boat launch today, and the lady that was working in the booth, is a superstar!! I didn't see her name, but it was extremely hot today and it didn't slow her down one bit. She was extremely helpful, and it was nice to see a smiling face with a positive attitude even under the conditions.

We went on a Sunday after 4 p.m. after a rain shower, so there was no waiting and plenty of parking. I understand the week before there was a one hour wait around noon. The lake is fun to explore as it is connected to canals and other lakes.

Great for fishing, especially if you have a boat. Bass, crappie , gills and catfish. No spots for grilling tho

I have been going to this lake for 30+ years Good fishing , people & relax time! My Uncle pat & mary Beth Bowers live on the lake. Very clean lake kids love it here. Fish come right up to you, which kids get a kick out of that. Over the years I've watched this lake grow in visitors. Hands down good time even worth the wait to get in....

Hours are technically 24/7 if you have a rec passport which you can get when you renew your plates it is $11 a year if you don't have one it's $16 and it gives you access for a year. Cash only.
Yes and shallow enough to walk out into the lake a bit to fish as well
Yes. There is plenty of room on the dock to park. Not sure about the hours though
On a nice day the public access can be full by noon
