If you are looking for an amazing family photographer, you have found one! Lindsey did some Mommy and Me photos with myself, my daughters, and their grandma and I could not be more thrilled with how they turned out! Not only are the photos gorgeous but Lindsey was a dream to work with before, during, and after the photo shoot. She is so sweet and warm, making what can sometimes be a stressful encounter so easy. She was flexible and responsive and had a quick turnaround with the photos. Overall, these has been the best experience I’ve ever had taking family photos (and we’ve done them a LOT). Lindsey will be our first choice for photography moving forward. If you choose her, you will not be disappointed!

I am so happy that I found Lindsey! She exceeded our exception with family photos with our little ones. She was very patient and hands on from start to finish. Our pictures came out absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend her and we are excited to work with her again in the future.

Lindsey is the BEST! As a first time mom, I had no idea how to plan a family photo shoot (time, location, outfits, etc) and Lindsey answered all my questions and gave me some great advice on how to prepare for shoot. It was so easy to book with her and all we had to do was show up with smiles (including our dog!) On the day of the shoot, my son was NOT having a good day. He was crying and did not want to be away from his mama. I was getting very flustered thinking we weren’t going to have any good shots because of tears. Well, thanks to Lindsey and her awesome photography skills, we were able to CHOOSE (not settle!) from so many options and complete our package. If you could see these photos, you would never know he was having a meltdown 30 seconds before. She truly has a magic eye and captured some amazing photos we will cherish forever. And we will for sure be doing another family photo session in the future — hopefully minus the meltdown! Book this lady— you will not be disappointed!!!

Questions & Answers

what time of day do you like to schedule photo shoots?

Light changes everything! I have spent many hours experimenting with all types of light. Daytime shoots have more shadow and dimension, whereas "golden-hour" shoots have that even glowing light. My preferred time to shoot is typically right as the sun is rising or setting. Indoor sessions are typically scheduled for mid-morning to maximize the available natural light. Mid-day is the least preferred time to take pictures because the light from the sun can create harsh shadows on faces. I always want my clients to look their best!

What should I expect after my session?

I typically try to post a few sneak peeks on my Facebook & Instagram page within a week of your session. You will receive your edited photos via a link to a personal Shootproof.com gallery within two to four weeks of the session. This will be an online gallery available for viewing for two weeks once posted. Once you select your favorites included in your session and let me know you are ready for your downloads they will be available via an emailed link. You will have the rights to print your photos for personal use or share the photos on social media and you may keep and print the photos forever. If posting online, please credit Lindsey Powell Photography.

When can I book a session? - Ted Cruz

I recommend contacting me a minimum of a month in advance of when you would like to have your session. However, if I have availability I'm always happy to work with you with late notice. For newborn sessions, please contact me at least two months in advance of your due date so we can schedule a tentative date. As a mom of four I understand the need for flexibility as labor is anything but predictable. October and November tend to book up quickly due to holiday cards, so schedule early! If you need your images for something special (such as holiday cards or senior photos), please try to schedule your session three to four weeks ahead of when you will need the edited images.

Where do you do photo sessions?

Hello, Lacey! I am a natural light photographer, which means that all photo sessions are on-location, usually outdoors and in settings with light colored backgrounds. I have several preferred options, but I enjoy brainstorming with you to find the perfect fit! Typically, newborn sessions are the only sessions I do indoors, and that will usually be at your home; but, I love getting some fresh air for some outdoor images during warmer months. I have done studio sessions for an added fee as well as an option too if we just can't make it work on location.
