They never answer the phone. Even as I stood in the office she ignored the phone to talk to people in the office about nothing. They don't care. They make everything difficult. You have to harass the state to get anywhere. They will drag their feet for no reason. Make you wait an eternity.

In PA, 30 days; however, the PA supreme court made a recent ruling (2018) and the DHS is currently revising the guidelines on General Assistance or cash.
You may have failed to provide some information necessary to process your case. Payments are automatically issued each month. The only time a payment would not automatically issue is if you were due for either a semi-annual renewal or an annual renewal and failed to either return the completed form along with income verification, failed to complete an interview or both. You should call your caseworker. If you are not sure who your caseworker is, you can call 814-461-2000 to speak with the operator and she can transfer you.
