Beautiful area, Lots of people walking the trails on a Sunday. Lots of bank and kayak fisherman. Was not successful catching a fish from the pier but it was a nice area.

As far as i know anyone can but you have to get a permit to fish there from the visitors center
There are 2 entrances. The main door is at Powder Mill Rd and the other at Laurel-Bowie Rd. The main door is closed because of road repair, so we are entering from the other one for now.
More or less
Walmart
The fishing area is seasonally closed will open soon You can walk the lake but must park at the visitor center
sunset
Uh... I've caught bass and pickerel targeting bass. There's bluegill. Maybe, crappie. If you go to the North Tract Visitors center they will tell you exactly the species within each of their lakes. Also, you're supposed to go there and register for parking at Cash Lake.
Permit is free but you must provide your fishing license
Bluegill, largely bass, yellow perch, catfish, black carppie....that's all I can think of.
I would like to catch and eat. Lol
Yes you need a MD non-title fishing license as well as a permit that you can get by showing your fishing license at the visitors center. The best bait? The one you catch fish on!
No you cant, they close the lake at 9pm.
