I had a bad experience while going to the donating event today, this was not my first time donating and unfortunately the staff wasn’t accommodating. My dad and my brother came with me this time and we didn’t make an appointment but the sign outside said walk-ins welcome. The staff didn’t accept us because we didn’t have an appointment and said that we would have to wait an hour because the people who did have appointments weren’t there yet. The place was not busy at all and there were beds free, not to mention the lady didn’t even explain to us properly why they could accept our donation. In the end, we decided to leave and we’re going to find somewhere else to donate since this was completely unnecessary and we are regular donators.

I had a bad experience in 2021 here after donating for 25 years, (most at woodburn), neither the phlebotomist nor his supervisor knew what they were doing. Months later my arm is still painful at times and strength is not recovered.

I had a appointment at 12:30 pm and got here around 12:25. Check in was okay but I have been waiting now for more than 20 mins.

Awesome experience! It was my first time donating blood. I didn't eat enough before hand and got lightheaded but the staff there were super nice and helped me out right away!

You are not paid. Double check the Inova guidelines but I believe that younare allowed to donate plasma every 7 days.
Blood donations at INOVA blood services are voluntary contributions and you are not paid for your donation. INOVA is not a commercial, for pay, organization.
Yes you can walk in, but to assure your time slot an appointment is recommended.
No. A convenient way to save lives. You'll meet others there that have given many times
