This is no kidding the 4rth weekend in a row that I’ve taking kids to play basketball in the gym. For one reason or another it is always unavailable and each time the gym is completely empty! Keep in mind I am a paying member. I don’t understand why the county allows the staff to turn away kids who are looking to play in the gym when the gym is completely empty! This seems like a gross misuse of what the facility was paid by tax payers to be used for to begin with. How do you I expect this to be a safe heaven for children but you constantly turn them away particularly when the gym is completely not in use. Further more I not only called but asked the gentleman at the front desk are we allowed to bring kids in and play in the facility, he BOTH times said yes, and to our utter disbelief when we parked our vehicle and walked all the way up the front desk we where AGAIN turned away with again a completely empty gym! This is completely unprofessional, inconvenient, unfriendly, and ultimately MEAN!

This is a great place. The gym is on the smaller size but it is a county rec. Center so you really can't expect the size of a private gym. The customer service has declined. Great place for the elderly. They have activities all day for ages 55 and above.

The fitness center is great! It’s not far from where I live and the free drop in classes are fun. So glad it was added to the library when it was rebuilt.

Yes 6 - 9 is 30 and over but there have been some 20 year Olds who bump with the older gents. Been going there 2 weeks, consistently every Saturday. Bump is good and not too many folks.
Yes
According to the website, a year long pass for seniors is $55 for county residents. A Recfit pass for adults is $110 a year.
Hi Caroline, going south on Georgia you can take a left turn at Parker Ave and a right on Hermitage to enter the surface lot (next to the Wheaton local park). Hermitage will lead you to the entrance to the parking garage. You can also go up to Arcola Ave, which has a stop light and turn left onto Arcola and a left on Hermitage to get to the parking areas.
