Yes, most of the DMV offices in northern Virginia are open. You must make an online appointment to do any transactions at any open office. Go only to the official DMV website to make your appointment. There are 3rd party websites out there that may charge you a fee to help set up an appointment. Yes. Right now all DMV's are by appointment only. No walk ins at all. You can book an appt from the main DMV website but you may need to be flexible when choosing a location you go to. Appts are hard to come by, especially last minute..and these days a month out is considered last minute. Also, check the appt site often because you may get lucky and someone cancels. Good luck!
