If you have a loved one with Dementia/Alzheimers, and are looking for a safe, secure facility with an amazing staff, administration, faculty and volunteers- consider Landsdowne Heights Assisted Living Specializing in Memory Care. A year ago, I was lucky enough to have found Landsdowne; since that time, my mother has absolutely prospered in the face of this crippling disease. Since the full onset, I have never, EVER, seen her happier than she is with the capable nurses and aides at Landsdowne. This truly has, without a doubt, become her home. Huge thanks to all who have contributed to Linda's successful stay. Again- for those families in need and searching for a home for their loved ones with Dementia- look no further; our family has never been happier. Rest assured your loved one will be cared for with love, compassion and understanding by their new family at Landsdowne Heights.

Lansdowne Heights is a wonderful and beautiful community! As a mover, I've been through many communities to understand what to look for. By far, Lansdowne Heights goes above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of its seniors. You know a great community when all the staff is always carrying a tremendous loving smile, always compassionate, and at the end of the day love having fun activities with their seniors. Anyone that walks through those doors is welcomed with open arms and is treated like family.

If you are reading this then you're probably making one of the most difficult decisions of your life: how best to resolve care for a loved one? I know that this was THE hardest decision I ever had to make. First, to get over the stigma that seeking outside help was an admission of failure, to dishonor a loved one. That myth couldn't be farther from the truth. To acknowledge that I could not longer care for my husband, or keep him safe, nearly crushed my spirit. Then I met the incredible kind and caring staff here at Lansdowne Heights. They make his life productive; he's happy, safe and he's thriving. And I can breathe again. I didn't give up on him, or give him away, I delegated those chores that I could not do in order to focus on what I do have: the core essence of my husband of almost 42 years. No one ever knows how long they have with a loved one, ensuring that the remaining time is a comfort, should be one of the determining factors when deciding where and how to arrange for a loved one's care. I can't say that this was an easy decision, or that I've easily adapted, but my husband has in his time at Lansdowne! I'll get there, slower then he, but I'm determined. Life is better knowing that he's well taken care of by the kindest, most generous group of people I've ever met. There has not been one staff person who hasn't exhibited the highest concern for his individual wellness. This is peace of mind I didn't have while caring for him alone. I believe this decision defined the depth of my love for him by reaching out for help. I could no longer care for him alone and the staff at Lansdowne helped make that decision a positive action - not a negative one.

Whoever manages this place, has got work to doPresently it .looks like high school. The caregivers are at the mercy of their recreation director -Cici who doubles as a bully ,I sat in with my mum who was there a couple of weeks and watch her pretend to be nice to the oldies and be rude to caregivers. Mums room was always dirty ,no trash liners, floor all sticky .Dining room was all dirty and gross. The oldies deserve better. The only good thing Was the nurses and caregivers/head of nursing team went above and beyond.Mum had good care/attention.
