What a great stop! It was really spacious with lots of open grass and large trees. Lots of space for dogs (or children) to run off some energy. There were also some covered picnic areas. The restrooms were clean when I was there. The semis have their own lot.

Great rest area with grills available all over. Spacious lot and calm place to rest

While you're enjoying this peaceful place take a moment to reflect at the Red Mulberry Tree There are three graves that are here, This giving me a moment to reflect as, I hope it does you, to realize how good we have in today's day and age. We are very blessed, be very thankful in everything that we have. My internet searches found this: The rest stop is in Franklin County, out of Ozark, AR., on the site of the old NICHOLS farm. The 3 children are those of William & Catherine NICHOLS. I was told by a grandson of William & Catherine that there was a typhoid epidemic in Franklin County and that William made burial boxes and buried the children on the homeplace. The family is listed in 1880 Franklin County, Arkansas census.

There is an explanation on the board outside the restroom. It was a family farm. The 3 there died of typhoid fever.😭
I was headed west when I was there.
